How We Came To Be

Bryan Inman and Monique Evans met by chance at Tonga Hut Palm Springs. While sharing a few drinks, the two discussed starting a rum club in the Los Angeles Area. Bryan and Monique co-founded what became known as the Rum Curious Club. That chance meeting led to the first meeting of the Rum Curious Club on January 28, 2023, with twelve people in Bryan’s apartment in LA.

Now, The Rum Curious Club is the second largest rum club in the United States.

Mission Statement

The Rum Curious Club passionately believes rum is the world’s most diverse and underappreciated spirit. We aim to ignite curiosity and expand knowledge through engaging educational events and liquid-to-lips initiatives. We strive to cultivate a community of rum enthusiasts, inspiring others to explore and appreciate this unique spirit. Together, we aim to transform rum-curious individuals into dedicated rum lovers.

Our Goal

We want to get people rum-curious.

We host events to:

• Meet and connect with other rum lovers in the area

• Get educated on different rums, distillers, and cocktails

• Show folks there is so much more to this fantastic spirit than spiced rum and rum-flavored liqueurs (i.e., lime-flavored rum or vanilla rum)

• Demonstrate that rum is a premium spirit that can be sipped neat

At our events, we:

• Highlight our sponsor(s) and tell their story

• Hear fun facts about rum we may not have known previously

• Taste different rums

• Enjoy rum riffs on classic cocktails or exotic cocktails

• We drink rum together and have one hell of a time doing it

As the club grows, we hope to do things like:

• Organize trips to rum distilleries and countries around the world

  • Our first trip aims to happen next year in 2025

• Expand our reach outside California and partner with bars in other states to host regular events
